Abstract

The significant impact of attention difficulties on the daily lives of children diagnosed with ADHD necessitates the development and provision of specialized support and intervention services. Advances in digital technologies, such as virtual reality, allow their integration into intervention programs for children with attention deficits/ADHD. Within this context, the "Child ViReal Support Program" was developed and implemented. It is a multimodal intervention program for children aged 9-12 with attention deficits and their parents. The program consists of a parent psychoeducation program and an individualized child training program, which utilizes virtual reality technology to train attention. A randomized controlled trial (RCT) study with a crossover design was conducted, involving 16 children diagnosed with ADHD and their parents. In this oral presentation, the children's training program and the role of VR technology within it were presented, along with findings from the RCT, in conjunction with findings from the broader literature on the use of VR in attention training for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
